Repair Service
We made it.
We'll fix it.
Every McWilliam bag leaves our workshop in Crosshaven built to last — but life is hard on bags. Straps fray, zippers stick, corners take a beating. That's exactly why we offer a professional repair service, carried out right here in Cork by the same team who made your bag.
Bringing your bag back to us isn't just practical. It's the most sustainable thing you can do with it.
What we can repair
Our team can carry out the following repairs on McWilliam bags:
Stuck, broken or worn zippers replaced with quality hardware.
Worn, frayed or detached straps re-stitched or fully replaced.
Add a name or logo — we remove the end panel, embroider it and re-fit it. (Additional charge applies.)
Not sure if it's fixable? Get in touch and we'll let you know.
How it works
Three simple steps to getting your bag back to its best.
Email us at hello@mcwilliambags.com or call 021 483 1505 (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm). Describe the damage and we'll advise on repairability and cost before you send anything.
Visit us in person at 1 The Square, Crosshaven, Co. Cork — or post your bag to the same address. We recommend using a tracked postal service.
Once the repair is complete we'll be in touch. Collect in person or we'll arrange to post it back to you.
End of life? We'll handle it responsibly.
If your McWilliam bag has reached the end of its life and can't be repaired, don't put it in general waste. Bring it back to us.
As a B Corp Certified business, we're committed to ensuring every bag we've ever made is disposed of in the most responsible way possible — broken down and recycled correctly, keeping it out of landfill. This service is free of charge.

Why repair matters
We've been making bags in Crosshaven since 1971, built to last decades — not seasons. Repairing a McWilliam bag instead of replacing it saves the resources that would go into making a new one, and keeps the craftsmanship alive for a few more adventures.
A repaired bag isn't a lesser bag. It's a bag with more stories.
